About Dr. Kenneth A. Smith and Associates

Dr. Kenneth A. Smith Dr. Kenneth A. Smith has worked in the fields of mental health and human services for over 35 years. His professional background includes extensive experience as a workforce development/job training specialist, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Anger Management Specialist I (CAMS I), speaker, trainer and consultant.

He has conducted trainings, seminars, and workshops for a wide variety of organizations including: The United Auto Workers at Ford Motor Company, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, AARP Illinois, Governors State University, The Harbor Light Institute on Addiction and Mental Health America of Illinois, as well as many others.

Kenneth earned a BA and MA in education at Northeastern Illinois University, a MA in counseling psychology at Alder University and a doctorate (EdD) in adult and continuing education at National-Louis University.

Kenneth is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army and served on active duty from 1973 -1977 including 21 months in Okinawa, Japan.
